D&M Demokrates Kavvalos
Company was founded in 1998
by Dimitris and Manolis
Kavvalos. Based on their
father’s old family
enterprise, since 1962 at
the village Zoniana of
Rethymno, Crete. Mission of
our company
is the gathering of various
herbs from the Mountain
Psiloritis and their
cultivation on a private
farm according to Organic
Agriculture regulations. Our
aim is to bring the
magnificent world of Nature
with its traditions to all
people. To discover the
well-known Cretan healthy
food, the flavors and the
aromas, the traditional and
natural way of body
treatment.
To
fulfill the traditional and
healthy way of life, there
are available other natural
products based on Cretan
flora, such as olive soaps,
spirits, wines, vinegar and
tea.
All of
our herbs are certificated
(BIO) by EU regulation
2092/91 and by BIO Hellas
500399/EN.
Our
products include, herbs,
spice mixes of Cretan
cuisine, teas and mixtures.
From
herbs you can find mixtures
in bags or for filter to
make beverage drinks, packed
in recyclable bags, or
traditional vases. From
spices there are available
solely or in mixtures to
enrich your cuisine.
Along
with spices you can find
traditional vinegar and
olive oil with special herbs
added, traditional drinks
from Crete as “Tsikoudia”
and “Rakomelo” and, of
course a variety of wines.
Beside
herb mixtures, there is also
a full assortment of olive
soaps, enriched with
different kind of herbs;
chamomile, lavender, nettle,
rose, calendula, sage,
cinnamon, laurel and with
components as lemon, oats,
aloe, seaweed, royal jelly
and essential oils.
All of
our products are available
solely or packed in
different kind of
compositions,
traditionally-looked, made
from prime natural material.
